I recently finished Hollow City, The Graphic Novel and this is my mini review!

- Plot: After fleeing an army of terrible monsters, Jacob Portman and his peculiar friends find themselves lost at sea, but the only person who might be able to get them ashore safely, their illustrious headmistress Miss Peregrine, is stuck in the form of a bird! Hoping to find a way to get Miss Peregrine back to normal–or as normal as a peculiar can get–the children journey to London. But no matter where they go, trouble lurks after them… Cassandra Jean’s evocative visuals once again work seamlessly with Hollow City’s vintage photographs and Ransom Rigg’s twisting fantasy narrative to make for a wholly immersive reading experience for fans of the original novels, fans graphic novels, and fans of reading great stories alike!
REVIEW
In this book Jacob continues on his journey with the other peculiar children. Before reading the graphic novel I read the original book and I loved it so so much and I gave it 5 stars.
I mainly read this book as a refreshener and it was amazing even if it was obviously shorter and some important things were missing! because I’m lazy and I don’t want to reread the entire series 🙂
When I started reading it I had some problems because I didn’t remember any of the characters but Jacob and Emma, but I also struggled to recognize her because the artist drew the fire blue, B L U E! And I thought for like 70 pages it was air!
The art is amazing, but I’ve to say I’m not a fan of Cassandra Jean’s art, I think she is a great artist, but I am not a fan of her style and I keep asking myself why does jacob and other people have lines on their cheeks!?
I hope the third book will be illustrated soon! Since I think we won’t have other movies from Tim Burton *sighs and cries*

Since it’s shorter than the novel obviously I recommend it to the fans of the original novels who want a great refreshener!

This sounds interesting! I love graphic novels. Very curious to the art, because that can really make or break a nice comic. I’ll see if my library has it.

I remember borrowing the original novels from the library and being scared of the vintage pictures of the peculiar children! Would love to read this! (DO I SEE EMMA HOLDING UP HER MIDDLE FINGER?? WHAT A BADASS HAHA)
